Arsenal may well be in the market for another striker this summer but one of their own forwards is making waves out on loan right now.

The Gunners continue to chase the Premier League title and claimed a huge 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Defeats to Aston Villa and Bayern Munich had dampened the mood around the Emirates Stadium but Mikel Arteta’s men responded on Saturday.

Whether Arsenal win the league or not, there are still major questions hovering over the Gunners.

The attacking conundrum continues; Kai Havertz has played well but doubts linger over his ability to be a clinical finisher.

The same goes for Gabriel Jesus whilst Eddie Nketiah has been a non-factor for much of the campaign.

HITC understands that Arsenal are keen on a number of strikers, including Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Juventus hitman Dusan Vlahovic.

Arsenal may well commit big money to a new striker signing this summer but Arteta may need to have a look at a Gunners youngster.

Mika Biereth praised by Jamal Musiala

Arsenal decided to change things up for Mika Biereth in January.

The Dane – signed from Fulham in 2021 – was loaned to Motherwell for the first half of the season and excelled up in Scotland.

Biereth bagged six goals and five assists in 15 games for Motherwell but Arsenal decided to end that loan and send him off to Austria with Sturm Graz.

That move has been a masterstroke so far with Biereth hitting nine goals and three assists in 16 games.

That brings Biereth’s total record for the season to 15 goals and eight assists in 31 appearances, which is an outstanding record for a 21-year-old striker.

Biereth was at it again on Friday night, scoring the only goal of the game as Sturm Graz beat Rapid Vienna.

Biereth took to social media to celebrate his goal and received a response from Bayern Munich superstar Jamal Musiala.

Musiala dumped Arsenal out of the Champions League with Bayern in midweek but has been close friends with Biereth for a while now.

Musiala simply stated ‘top player’, praising Biereth for another goal whilst Newcastle’s Tino Livramento stated ‘greatness’.

Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee added ‘my number 9’ with Biereth earning praise from some of the most exciting talents in European football.

Could Biereth feature for Arsenal?

Biereth’s form is hugely impressive and Arsenal will have certainly paid close attention to his record in Austria.

The step up from Sturm Graz to Arsenal is enormous though and it would be a big ask for Biereth to make that leap this summer.

Biereth is yet to make a first-team debut under Arteta but he is doing all he can to turn the Spaniard’s head.

This almost has the feeling of a Folarin Balogun situation.

Balogun impressed on loan but with no route to first-team action, Arsenal cashed in and sold him to Monaco last summer.

Biereth may well be in a similar boat now as Arsenal are a different club to the one he signed for three years ago.

Arsenal have progressed rapidly and aren’t just looking at top four finishes anymore; it’s all about trophies with the Premier League and Champions League moving into focus.

Reaching the level Arteta demands is difficult now and whilst Biereth clearly has quality and potential, it’s a tough route into the Arsenal first team picture and another loan move – or a sale – could be on the cards this summer.
