What is your favorite game-script build and why?

headChopper:Both teams have no problems moving the ball by doing what they do best. Michigan finds success running the ball in between the 20s and finds various ways to score in the red zone. Washington hits some big plays and moves the ball well through the air. Ultimately, having watched these teams all season now, I think the defenses are overmatched by what the other offense does great.

STLCardinals84:I do not have a sure-fire answer to this question based on game flow, as I think this game is going to be very competitive throughout. I will have fairly even exposure to both teams overall, with a focus on the Michigan run game and Washington pass game given the relative strengths of the two teams.

kmurray03:I think this is going to be a close game that comes down to the wire, but Michigan’s ability to control the clock and sustain drives will be the deciding factor en route to their championship victory.

a25smith:I’m predicting Michigan to win this one and to cover the spread. That game script should lead to both teams primarily doing what they do best, with Michigan leaning on the run game and Washington leaning on Penix and their trio of WRs.

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper:I’ll play a variety of large-field GPPs- multi-entry, some 20-max, and some 150-max. I will succeed or fail based on the Washington running backs. I’m fading the running game for the most part. I don’t care about the status of Dillon Johnson. If Michigan lets a Washington running back beat them, then I am sunk.

STLCardinals84:I prefer more of a 3-entry max type format on this slate, as my player pool will be fairly narrow. I will take a shot on one low-owned WR (mainly Polk) as my differentiator in GPP builds.

kmurray03:Single Entry – At this point, it is pretty evident that the way Michigan is going to move the ball is via the run. However, I like utilizing the passing options in this game in order to be a bit different from the field.

a25smith:I’m looking at large-field GPPs. I’ll be underweight on the Washington running game and overweight on some of the Michigan pieces outside of Corum.

I think the common way people will approach this slate is to lock in the obvious CPT/MVP in Blake Corum and then move to the Washington passing game. Michael Penix Jr. is expensive and not a big running threat, so he’s someone you want to stack. That should mean the next two clicks would likely be Odunze and/or McMillan.

In particular on DK, that should leave Michigan pieces like Wilson, Loveland, and Edwards with ownership under 25%, and I’m also thinking there will be a big ownership gap between McCarthy and Penix due to their proximity in pricing.

I like Michigan to win this game, so I’ll be looking to get overweight on those non-Corum Michigan pieces and hope Corum doesn’t gobble up every TD. I think going double Michigan RB is in play with Corum/Edwards paired up, and I like Loveland at TE, as most people will take the discount with Cornelius Johnson.

What is an example of one rule you can program into LineupHQ to capitalize on the above strategies?

headChopper:Player Pool > Dillon Johnson > Mx% > Set to 10%

STLCardinals84:Player Pool > Blake Corum > LOCK button

kmurray03:Player Pool > J.J. McCarthy CPT/MVP > Mn% > Set so it is above his projected ownership

a25smith:Player Pool > Colston Loveland > Mn% > Set to 40%

What is your hottest take for this game?

headChopper:Michael Penix Jr. has another big game and supports two different 100-yard pass catchers.

STLCardinals84:Michigan rushes for 250 yards.

kmurray03:J.J. McCarthy accounts for 4 TDs en route to being the highest-scoring player on the slate.

a25smith:Colston Loveland has 70+ yards and a TD.

Predict the final score of the game.

headChopper:UW 34 – MICH 28

STLCardinals84: MICH 31 – UW 28

kmurray03: MICH 33 – UW 28

a25smith: MICH 31 – UW 21
